I saw the world,
But it didn't see me
Surpressed by the darkness
I was within
Invisible cloak,camoflauge suit of skin
Black tar
In the midnight sky?
Not I! Not I!
Caged beast to ridicule's lashes; introverted
to my tongues darts and dashes
Piercing the brain's subcouncious
with mendacious lies
Paralyzing the spine of divine justice
To deplore truth with envy of the righteous; decapitating
Love with Cupid's arrow.
Night time brings the scent of Death -putrid and cold-
Lingering on the carcasses of grotesque shadows
Hidden within the abasement that lives behind fear.
I let out a scream for redemption when brought
to the dungeons of Hell,
like waves to the sand
Let there be light! Let there be light!
Amongst the inevitable darkness;
The heat rising, burning my soul, eating my flesh,
Devouring my bones
Crepuscular fire showing the malicious gloating of
The hooded figures burning me like an effigy;
their hatred fueling the flames
As my body weakened with defeat
Decays into dust, the fire consumes the life of my being
And like the smoke emitted from the heart of the flames
My soul rises;
Out of the darkness and into the light
