Prompt: Write a story Under 50 word. Mine;
Kai answers his phone from bed.
“Hello?”
The caller is frantic, he can barely understand her garbled mantra, ‘he’s dead, he’s dead’.
“What? Who?”
“Liam!”
“I don’t know a Liam.”
A pause.
“Max?”
“This is Kai.”
She hangs up. Wrong number. Kai returns to bed, unable to sleep.
