Tyson’s Wife drives to work slowly, smoking a cigarette. The bodies in town… the numbers, the circumstances. All weird, too weird.
She arrives at work, and walks in. The senior Constable nods at her.
“Hey Marie,” he says.
“Hey,” she says. “You boys find the body last night?”
“Mmm? We found one.”
“My husband saw it first. Two O’clock.”
The Constable pauses. “He report it?”
“Nope. He’s a textbook example.”
“Did he search it at all?”
“No.”
“Blast. Could have been useful, actually. Do you mind if I interview him about it, actually?”
“Not at all. Go ahead.”
